MCD stands for Mums Can Do. How did it evolve?

I decided to take a career break from my profession of project management predominantly in blue chip Telecoms and Marketing to focus on my ever growing family (which now includes 4 children ranging from 9-20 years old). On my return I was disappointed at the lack of opportunities for flexible working.

​ Through networking I discovered professional appointment making for the financial sector. Seeing the potential for expansion and job creation I took the chance and started MumsCanDo in 2017, teaming up with the local job centre to find and support parents to get back into employment. ​

​ The model works brilliantly around caring responsibilities, also the ability to work remotely has reduced the challenge of adapting to the pandemic, and now indeed some of our team live and work in other countries, still providing the same quality service.

​ ​ I am proud to say that since these small beginnings MCD Meetings has expanded and continues to bring quality flexible working opportunities to those that need them, a mutually supportive network of working mums and a valuable source of new business for Financial Advisors.
